The S&P 500 and the Dow hit record highs on Friday after Morgan Stanley wrapped
up bumper quarterly earnings reports from big U.S. banks, while optimism about a
solid economic rebound put the main indexes on course for weekly gains.  .N 
    At 12:15 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.27% at
34,128.82. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.15% at 4,176.5 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.10% at 14,024.031.
