Eni CEO says EU should suspend C02 emission trading system
Eni CEO says EU should suspend C02 emission trading system MILAN, Oct 14 (Reuters) - The European Union should suspend the C02 emission trading system (ETS) as it is hampering its industrial sector when companies are struggling with the effects of the Ukraine and Iran wars, the CEO of Eni ENI.MI said on Wednesday.
"The ETS should be suspended until a resolution is found to the Russia-Ukraine war and the Gulf war, because it is a levy that is far too costly for our industry," said Claudio Descalzi, the chief executive of state-controlled energy group Eni.
