       September 16 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq Composite and the
S&P 500 rose following a two-day slide, helped by a retreat in
oil prices as investors held their breath for the Federal
Reserve's interest rate decision on Wednesday. .N 
     
    At  1330 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up
0.08% at 52,128.85.The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.34% at 7,611.36,
and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.68% at 26,158.61.
