The following factors could affect Italian markets on Wednesday.

    Bank of Italy releases August data on bank lending and
domestic government bond holdings at Italy-based banks.
    
    DEBT
    Treasury sells 12-month BOT bills. Subscriptions close at
0900 GMT.
    
    COMPANIES
    MEDIASET  MS.MI 
    The heads of Vivendi  VIV.PA  and Mediaset  MS.M  will hold
a phone conversation in the next few days in what could
potentially be the first step towards exploring a deal to end a
long-running legal dispute between the two companies, two
sources with knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday.
    Releases H1 results (before Bourse opening), followed by
conference call (0700 GMT).
    
    TOD'S  TOD.MI 
    The shoe maker swung to an operating loss in the first half
of this year after a 44% sales drop due to the coronavirus
crisis, which forced luxury goods brands to temporarily shut
stores across the world and idle manufacturing sites.

    Italy's top bank set a goal to cut its exposure to coal to
zero by 2028 in a recent update of its policy for the sector and
related activities, a document on the bank's website showed.

    The utility has exercised the right to increase the amount
of hybrid bonds to be bought back to 250 million pounds from 200

    Mercure Investment, a vehicle of Ardian infrastructure
funds, said on Tuesday it would acquire a 1.6% stake in the
