EQTEC PLC (renamed Forgent plc)

(the "Company")

Change of Name

EQTEC plc, the technology-led energy transition company, announces that,
further to shareholder approval at the Company's the Extraordinary General
Meeting on 12 February 2026, it has changed its name from EQTEC plc to Forgent
plc.

The Company will operate under this new name, reflecting the recent broadening
of its portfolio, while the EQTEC brand will continue to be used in relation
to the Group's gasification technology and operations, where it is a
well-known and respected brand with established market recognition.

The Registrar of Companies in Ireland has issued a Certificate of
Incorporation on Change of Name and the Company confirms that the change of
name has been notified to the London Stock Exchange. Trading in the Company's
shares under the new company name will take effect on AIM from 8.00 a.m. on 26
February 2026 under the new ticker code FORG.

There will be no change to the Company's Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), ISIN
or SEDOL.

 Shareholders should note that their shareholdings will be unaffected by the
change of name.

The Company's investor relations website www.eqtec.com (https://eqtec.com/)
 will be rebranded shortly and a further update will be provided in due
course.
