Equinor signs long-term LNG agreement with Thailand's PTT Trading (updated)
UPDATE 2-Equinor signs long-term LNG agreement with Thailand's PTT Trading Adds detail in paragraph 3
OSLO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Equinor EQNR.OL said on Friday it has signed a long-term agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Thailand's PTT Trading (PTTT).
"The agreement underlines the role of LNG in contributing to security of supply in a dynamic energy market," Equinor's senior vice president for gas and power, Helle Oestergaard Kristiansen, said in a statement.
Equinor said it already supplies crude oil and refined products to PTTT on a regular basis and aims to further develop the relationship through the LNG agreement.
The Norwegian company produces LNG at a plant in Arctic northern Norway and also buys LNG from US producer Cheniere for deliveries to its own customers, a business it is looking to expand.
Equinor said the commercial terms were confidential, and declined to comment on the duration and volume of the contract.
