Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins firm

- Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose by 6.6% to $44.45 a barrel on Tuesday, supported by stronger demand and sharp declines in underlying crude prices.

  • About 8,000 metric tons of gasoline E5 barges traded, with Exxon, Trafigura and Equinor selling to Totsa, Aramco and Vitol.

  • Another 10,000 tons of gasoline E10 barges traded, with Trafigura, ExxonMobil and Shell selling to BP, Varo and Totsa.

  • Exxon also sold an E5 barge to Varo in the Platts window.

  • EU-27, UK gasoline exports are on pace to reach 764,000 barrels per day (bpd) in August, down sharply from 1 million bpd in July, the highest in a year, according to Kpler.

  • Brazil's government will extend a gasoline subsidy worth 0.44 reais per litre (about 9 U.S. cents) until September 9, local newspaper Valor Economico reported on Tuesday, citing a finance ministry source.

  • Russia is set to extend its diesel export ban through September as fuel shortages persist in its domestic market, with a number of refineries still idle after repeated Ukrainian drone attacks, three industry sources told Reuters.
