CMOC to buy EQX's Leagold LatAm, Luna Gold for $1 billion

HONG KONG, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Chinese metals miner and processor CMOC Group 603993.SS on Monday said unit CMOC Ltd plans to buy Leagold LatAm Holdings B.V. and Luna Gold Corp from Canada's Equinox Gold Corp EQX.TO for a combined $1.015 billion. Through the deal, CMOC will obtain a 100% interest in Aurizona Gold Mine, RDM Gold Mine and Bahia Integrated Mining Area, it said in a filing on Monday.
