The following factors could affect Italian markets on Thursday.

    POLITICS
    Four-times Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, 86, was
being treated in intensive care on Wednesday in a cardiac unit
at Milan's San Raffaele Hospital after suffering breathing
problems.
    
    DEBT
    Foreign investors bought 62.6% of the new 8-year green BTP
bond, the Italian Treasury said on Wednesday.
    Italy's Treasury said it would offer 8.5 billion euros in
BOT bills at auction on April 12.
    Treasury announces sale of BTP bonds, with relative amounts
to be auctioned on April 13.

    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Proxy adviser ISS recommended Italy's phone group's
investors to vote against the second section of the remuneration
policy at the shareholders' meeting on April 20 because of poor
disclosure on shares allocated under the Brazilian long-term
incentive plan to CEO Pietro Labriola and on one-off bonus and
termination payments paid in favour of managers with strategic
responsibilities. ISS also recommended voting against the topic
related to the replacement of Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine
on the board because, at the date of the report, the name of the
candidate had not been disclosed. 
    
    PIRELLI  PIRC.MI 
    Italian tyre maker said it had postponed its annual
shareholders meeting until to June 29 due due to government
scrutiny of governance agreements involving China's investor
Sinochem. 
    
    INTESA SANPAOLO  ISP.MI 
    Italy's biggest lender said on Wednesday it ended its share
buyback programme after it had purchased a stake of around 3,72%
of its share capital. 
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI 
    Carmaker CEO Carlos Tavares said the French-Italian
automaker will build its new Ram 1500 electric pickup truck
unveiled Wednesday in the United States.
    
    ENI  ENI.MI 
    Eni's unit Versalis said on Wednesday it entered exclusive
negotiations to buy the part of chemical group Novamont it does
not already own.
    
    BPER  EMII.MI 
    Fitch Ratings has upgraded the bank's Long-Term Issuer
Default Rating (IDR) to 'BBB-' from 'BB+' and Viability Rating
(VR) to 'bbb-' from 'bb+'. The Outlook on the Long-Term IDR is
Stable.
        
    IPO, FERALPI SIDERURGICA 
    The Italian steelmaker has picked advisory firm Lazard to
explore strategic options, including a potential listing, two
sources close to the matter said on Wednesday.

    Releases FY results (1030 GMT), followed by conference call
(1230 GMT).
