Czech central bank leaves countercyclical capital buffer rate at 1.25%

PRAGUE, March 6 (Reuters) - The Czech National Bank decided to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate for banks at the current level of 1.25%, it said on Thursday.

"The Czech economy is in the growth phase of the financial cycle and the estimated level of cyclical systemic risks in the banking sector’s balance sheet remains stable," the bank said.

After a meeting on financial stability, it said the banking sector was resilient and the current buffer rate limited the sector's vulnerability to a potential economic downturn.
