INTEREST RATES
The meeting of the Polish Monetary Policy Council (MPC) will end on Wednesday. Most analysts polled by Reuters expect a 50 basis point cut in interest rates, the first since October 2023.
POLAND AND GERMANY LEADERS MEETING
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet with Germany's new Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Warsaw on Wednesday. The leaders will discuss bilateral cooperation, the current EU and international agendas, as well as security and defense issues, the Polish government's press office reported.
MEETING OF EUROPEAN UNION FOREIGN MINISTERS
A two-day informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union and the candidate and potential candidate countries to the EU will begin in Warsaw on Wednesday.
POLISH-FRENCH PARTNERSHIP
Poland's strategic partnership with France, which is to be concluded on May 9, may also include cooperation in nuclear energy, Rzeczpospolita reported.
