POLISH PRIME MINISTER IN THE NETHERLANDS
On Monday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will take part in the celebrations of the Liberation Day of the Netherlands. He will meet with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
POLISH-FRENCH TREATY
The treaty to be signed on Friday between Poland and France is to include an obligation that the French will commit to come to Poland's aid in the event of a Russian invasion, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
INTEREST RATES DECISION
This week, the Polish Monetary Policy Council (MPC) will make a decision on interest rates. Although the market expects them to be cut, analysts believe that the biggest obstacle to a decisive easing of monetary policy is the high budget deficit in 2026, Puls Biznesu daily reports.
POPULATION OF POLAND
Over the past five years, the number of Poles has decreased by at least 700,000. According to economists, the time has come for actions that will adapt social and economic life to depopulation, reported Rzeczpospolita daily.
