HK's Esprit jumps on potential partnership with private equity group

** Shares of apparel group Esprit Holdings  0330.HK  jump as
much as 48.6% to HK$0.26, their highest since March 14 
    ** Stock on course for a second session of gains, and is the
 second-biggest pct gainer on the Hong Kong bourse
    ** Esprit says an international private equity group has
indicated that it is going to submit memorandum of understanding
regarding a potential partnership with the company in European
business
    ** Says the potential investor is interested in investing in
the company to benefit from the future growth through the
company's strategic focus markets, including the North American
and Asian markets
    ** Hang Seng Composite Index  .HSCI  and Hang Seng Index
 .HSI  both add 1% 
    ** Esprit stock down 39.3% YTD
