July 29 (Reuters) - ESSA Bancorp Inc  ESSA.O : 
 * Announces merger with Eagle national bancorp, inc. and expansion into 
   southeastern pa 
 * Will acquire Eagle national bancorp and its wholly owned subsidiary, Eagle 
   national bank, through an all cash transaction 
 * Under the terms of the merger agreement, stockholders of Eagle national 
   bancorp will receive about $24.7 million, or $5.80 per share 
 * Says merger is expected to be immediately accretive to Essa bancorp's 
   earnings upon closing 
 * Says transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2015
