EssilorLuxottica CEO Milleri welcomes Delfin overhaul

PARIS, April 28 (Reuters) - Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA and chairman of the group's top investor Delfin, welcomed the latter's reorganisation, saying it would help improve decision-making at the Del Vecchio family's holding company.

"This is a process that leads to simplification. With five or six shareholders [instead of eight at present] ... it will be much easier to find good solutions for the company, for the country and also for EssilorLuxottica," Milleri said on the sidelines of EssilorLuxottica's shareholder meeting.

"The market will certainly appreciate more stability and consistency among shareholders," Milleri added.

Delfin owns a 32.4% stake in EssilorLuxottica.

Asked whether approval of the overhaul by six out of eight family members was sufficient to move ahead with the reorganisation, Milleri said: "If it has been done and approved, I believe an agreement has been reached among all the shareholders."
