** Deal to fund preclinical, clinical development of oncology treatments via what co calls "first-of-its-kind" biotech financing strategy

** It gave no details on funds to be raised; said firms' consolidated assets carry a combined valuation exceeding $1.5 billion

** Transcenta shares jump 6.4% to HK$4.85, highest since Sept 15

** YTD, IVD up almost 504%, Transcenta up 594% vs Hang Seng Biotech Index's .HSBIO 99% surge
