U.S.-listed shippers soar as Baltic sea freight index rises

** Shares of U.S.-listed shippers jump as Baltic Exchange's
main sea freight index  .BADI  got a boost from stronger
capesize rates
    ** The capesize index  .BACI  gained 66 points or 3 pct, its
highest in over a month, the index typically tracks transport of
cargoes such as iron ore and coal  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL3N1X244G
    ** Shares of Top Ships  TOPS.O  and EuroSeas  ESEA.O  more
than doubled in early afternoon trading while Globus Maritime
 GLBS.O , Diana Containerships  DCIX.O  and EuroDry  EDRY.O 
surge anywhere between 25 pct and 40.5 pct
    ** Other shippers like DryShips  DRYS.O , Grindrod Shipping
 GRIN.O , Eagle Bulk Shipping  EGLE.O  and Scorpio Bulkers
 SALT.N  rose between 16.5 pct and 6.17 pct
    ** Six out of the ten biggest pct gainers across U.S.
exchanges were shares of shipping cos
    ** Baltic Exchange's main index  .BADI  rose for the third
consecutive day
