** Shares in Italy's EuroGroup Laminations EGLA.MI are up 6.5% after a document seen by Reuters showed the Italian government had approved the takeover of a majority stake in the group by Asian private equity firm FountainVest
** The document shows Rome cleared the deal, aimed at delisting the firm, subject to conditions under so-called golden power rules aimed at shielding strategic assets
** Shares rose as much as 8.7% following the Reuters report, before paring some gains
** If the gains hold, the stock will see its best day since July 28, when it closed 52.6% higher after the takeover bid was announced
