MDA's US shares rise as Airbus orders OneWeb satellite antennas

** Canadian satellite manufacturer MDA Space's MDA.TO U.S.-listed shares MDA.N rise 3.9% to $36.50 premarket

** Co selected by Airbus AIR.PA to design and build more than 880 antennas and 440 replacement antennas for the OneWeb low-Earth orbit constellation owned by Eutelsat ETL.PA

** Follows an initial order given to MDA to supply nearly 2,000 antennas to the constellation in 2016

** ETL awarded AIR the contracts to build the OneWeb constellation extension in December 2024 and December 2025 for 100 and 340 satellites respectively

** Up to last close, MDA's Canadian shares have risen 81.2% so far this year
