Evaxion surges on U.S. FDA nod for cancer therapy trial

** Shares of biotech co Evaxion  EVAX.O  jump ~53% to $2.68
after the bell 
    ** In a regulatory filing, EVAX says U.S. Food and Drug
Administration has allowed co to begin U.S. trial for cancer
therapy 
    ** EVAX is studying its investigational therapy EVX-01 in
combination with Merck  MRK.N 's drug Keytruda as a treatment
for a type of skin cancer in a global mid-stage study 
    ** Co expects response from U.S. health regulator on its
Fast Track status request for EVX-01 in Q1 2023
    ** EVAX has received approval from concerned regulatory
authorities to conduct trial in Australia, Italy and France, and
 is awaiting approval by Spanish authorities  
    ** As of last close, EVAX down ~60% YTD
