Wall Street's main indexes were mixed in volatile trading on Thursday as
investors remained cautious ahead of a crucial labor report later in the week
and monitored potential escalations in Middle East hostilities.  .N 
    
    At 14:13 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.6% at 
41,959.34. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.30% at 5,692.5 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.22% at 17,886.022.
