Evoke Pharma: Rises on FDA Orange Book listing of U.S. patent for nasal spray

** Drug developer's shares  EVOK.O  rise 6.8% to $1.40
premarket
    ** Co says its U.S. patent for Gimoti, a nasal spray, listed
in U.S. FDA publication, "Approved Drug Products with
Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations" - commonly known as the

    ** Says patent covers methods of use for nasal delivery of
Gimoti for the treatment of gastroparesis, a condition that
affects stomach muscles and prevents proper stomach emptying
    ** Gimoti, which FDA approved in June 2020, is co's nasal
spray product for the relief of symptoms in acute and recurrent
diabetic gastroparesis 
    ** The patent, issued earlier this month, carries a term to
at least 2029 - EVOK
    ** Patents listed in the Orange Book cover drugs FDA has
approved and deemed both safe and effective, and makes it easier
for drugmakers to monitor new generic drugs that could
potentially infringe on their patents
    ** Up to last close, EVOK stock down ~49% YTD
