Evotec shares drop on guidance cut, 'ugly' Q2
BUZZ-Evotec shares drop on guidance cut, 'ugly' Q2 ** Shares in Evotec EVTG.DE plummet about 20% in early Frankfurt trade after it cut 2026 outlook following what a local trader describes as "ugly" Q2 preliminaries
** The German drug discovery firm now expects 2026 revenue of €570-610 million ($649-695 million) vs €700-780 million previously; it cites delays into 2027 to large strategic partnerships
** RBC says Q2 represents a clear deterioration, citing revenue 16% below consensus
** "Despite management's confidence that the existing strategic programmes and the pipeline are delayed, not lost, we think it will have a tough time convincing the market as such," RBC says
** Full financial results for Q2 and H1 to be published on August 13
