Brief: Evraz says it will not make payments on notes due 2023, 2024

Sept 16 (Reuters) - Steelmaker Evraz  EVRE.L  says:
    * It will not make payment of interest due on Sept. 20, 2022
for
its 5.375% notes due 2023.
    * It also does not expect to make payment of interest due on
Oct.
2, 2022 for its 5.250% notes due 2024.
    * The company is in the process of exploring various options
that
will allow it to meet its obligations to all noteholders.
    * It says it has sufficient liquidity to make all payments
due
under 2023 notes and 2024 notes were it not for sanctions and
regulatory restrictions.
