Australia's EVT surges on upbeat HY results

** Shares of EVT  EVT.AX  rise 11.3% to A$13.39
    ** Stock rose as much as 13.5% to A$13.65, their largest
intraday pct jump since mid-November 2020
    ** EVT among top movers on benchmark ASX 200 index  .AXJO 
    ** Leisure and recreation business firm posts HY reported
NPAT of A$31.1 mln ($19.84 mln), compared with A$27.1 mln last
year
    ** Also declares interim dividend 16 AU cents per share, up
from 14 AU cents last year
    ** Attributes higher profit to 10.9 earnings growth in
hotels business
    ** More than 504,000 shares change hands, 4.8 times the
30-day avg
    ** Stock down ~18% YTD, including current session's moves
