The S&P 500 and the Dow fell on Friday and were headed for a downbeat week as President Donald Trump ramped up his tariff offensive against Canada, amplifying the uncertainty swirling around the U.S. trade policy. .N

At 13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.63% at 44,371.30. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.24% at 6,265.49, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.06% at 20,639.72.
