FactSet forecasts fiscal 2027 revenue, profit below estimates
FactSet forecasts fiscal 2027 revenue, profit below estimates Sept 30 (Reuters) - Financial data firm FactSet FDS.N forecast fiscal 2027 revenue and profit slightly below analysts' expectations on Wednesday, sending its shares down about 3% in premarket trading.
Here are some more details:
FactSet forecast annual revenue of $2.600 billion to $2.625 billion, with the midpoint slightly below analysts' average estimate of $2.616 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Expects adjusted profit of $19.25 to $19.65 per share, below analysts' expectation of $19.68.
Shares of FactSet have shed more than 10.4% so far this year as concerns that advances in AI could disrupt the traditional financial data and analytics industry weighed on investor sentiment.
Analysts, however, say FactSet remains well protected by its proprietary datasets, and note that the company has been investing heavily in AI products and capabilities to strengthen its competitive position.
However in a bright spot, the Norwalk, Connecticut-based company posted adjusted earnings per share of $4.52 for the fourth quarter ended August 31, above analysts' average estimate of $4.33.
Organic annual subscription value (ASV), an indicator of revenue potential from subscriptions for the next 12 months, rose 7% to $2.57 billion.
