U.S. stock index futures were marginally higher on Thursday ahead of another
batch of economic data, after benign consumer inflation figures reinforced hopes
for a September start to the Federal Reserve's rate-cutting cycle. .N 
    
    At 7:36 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.28% at 40,232. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were up 0.23% at 5,489.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were up 0.31%
at 19,174.5.
