POLITICS
Italy's move to temporarily ban ChatGPT has inspired other
European countries to study if harsher measures are needed to
rein in the wildly popular chatbots and whether to coordinate
such actions.
Italy's Coast Guard said on Monday it was forced to use a
helicopter to rescue 32 migrants, including a child, who had
been stranded on a desert island in the central Mediterranean
since the previous say.
ECONOMY
Italy posted a state sector budget deficit of 31.9 billion
euros in March compared to a shortfall of 24.75 billion euros in
the same month last year, the Treasury said in a statement on
Monday.

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
Telecom Italia on Monday became the first junk-rated
European company to tap debt markets after the recent banking
turmoil when it raised 400 million euros by selling a new
tranche of an existing bond due in 2028.
The sale of TIM's landline network 'is moving forward' and
there are two offers on the table, CEO Pietro Labriola said on
Monday, adding that such a scenario was unthinkable a year ago.
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
The carmaker held a 35.08% market share in Italy's car
market in March, Reuters calculations based on the data provided
by the transport ministry showed. Industry-wide car sales rose
40.78% last month, the transport ministry said.
ENAV ENAV.MI
Italy's Treasury said on Monday it had indicated Alessandra
Bruni and Pasqualino Monti as the state-controlled group's next
chairman and chief executive, respectively.
ISSC FINTECH ISCC.MI
The company said on Monday it had acquired a non-performing
loans portfolio with a nominal value of around 4.8 million
euros.
