France's FDJ says government will not implement gambling tax hike

Oct 3 (Reuters) - French gaming group FDJ FDJ.PA said
on Thursday that to the best of its knowledge, the finance bill
to be presented shortly to the Council of Ministers would not
include any tax measures concerning gambling.
The statement from the group's spokesperson follows media
reports on Thursday, stating that the government would be
planning a tax hike on online gaming and betting.
