Miner Ferrexpo jumps on hopes of Ukraine-Russia peace talks

** Shares of Ukraine-focused miner Ferrexpo FXPO.L up 8.6% at 56.9p, among top gainers on the FTSE small-cap index .FTSC

** Stock gains as much as 9.7% to 57.5p in early trading in London

** U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Monday say they hope White House talks with European leaders will pave way for trilateral negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end war in Ukraine

** Trump also tells Zelensky that U.S. will help guarantee Ukraine's security in any deal to end Russia's war

** However, overnight Russia launches drone strikes on the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk, raising doubts over its willingness to pursue peace

** FXPO has fallen over 78% since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the beginning of 2022

** Including session moves, FXPO down ~48% YTD
