U.S. stock index futures dipped on Thursday as investors refrained from making
big bets ahead of crucial inflation data that could hold the key to the timing
of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.  .N 
    
    At 7:04 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 0.27% at 38,889. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were down 0.22% at 5,069.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were down
0.20% at 17,880.25.
