** Shares of Cassava Sciences SAVA.O fall ~24% to $13.33

** According to a report from American Association for the
Advancement of Science (AAAS), co-developer of Cassava’s
potential Alzheimer’s drug simufilam is being accused of
scientific misconduct
** The report says an investigation committee from the City
University of New York accused Hoau-Yan Wang with fabrication in
research papers that supported simufilam
** Says, committee found numerous signs of image
manipulation that suggested that simufilam can blunt the effects
of beta amyloid, a protein that triggers Alzheimer’s disease
** The doubts concerning SAVA's drug began two years ago and
was followed by an investigation by the U.S. SEC in November
2021
** Up to last close, shares down 40.6% YTD
