Italy's FinecoBank posts higher than expected fourth quarter profit (updated)

Corrects paragraph 2 to say the results are for October-December, not September-December.

Feb 6 (Reuters) - FinecoBank FBK.MI on Friday reported higher than expected fourth quarter profit, helped by a rise in revenue at its asset management division.

Fineco's net income for the October-to-December period totalled 166.5 million euros ($196.4 million) above a LSEG compiled consensus of 161.3 million euros, while its revenue reached 346.9 million euros, up 4.3% year-on-year.

In 2025, its total net sales rose 33.3% year-on-year to 13.4 billion euros, while asset under management net sales stood at 5.5 billion euros, also up by 33.3% on a yearly basis.

"The acceleration in net inflows was driven by savers' greater attitude to invest ... able to make the most of the new potentials offered by artificial intelligence applications," CEO Alessandro Foti said in a statement.

Fineco's diversified business model, which combines digital banking with brokerage and asset management platforms, proved resilient against a backdrop of normalizing interest rates in the eurozone.

The company announced a 0.79 euros per share dividend for 2025.
