Updates with latest outages March 16 (Reuters) - More than 266,000 homes and businesses were without power on Monday as severe storms battered the U.S. Midwest and Mid-Atlantic region, according to data from PowerOutage.us. Michigan was hardest hit with around 123,765 outages, representing about 2.4% of the state's 5.1 million customers, according to the data. The most severely impacted utility in Michigan was a unit of Consumers Energy with around 90,716 homes and businesses without service. Here are the major outages by state:
