Adds details in third paragraph, impact of U.S. tariffs on its business in fourth and fifth
May 7 (Reuters) - Spanish pool maker Fluidra FLUI.MC said on Wednesday its first quarter net profit soared buoyed by higher prices and the contribution from recently acquired units.
The company's net profit rose 29% to 48 million euros ($54.50 million) in the first quarter, up from 37 million euros a year earlier out of revenues worth 564 million euros.
The company's sales rose everywhere, with North America growing the most, with a 7% increase.
Fluidra, one of the Spanish IBEX 35 companies most exposed to the U.S. market, recently said it has raised its prices in the U.S. to offset the impact of tariffs.
It said it estimated the impact of tariffs at 50 million euros in the remaining of 2025.
Fluidra reiterated its guidance for 2025 and said it expects its adjusted EBITDA to be between 500 million euros and 540 million euros this year out of overall sales of between 2.14 billion to 2.25 billion euros.
