Paddy Power plc announces the appointment of a new non-executive director
The Board of Paddy Power plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary McGann as an independent non-executive director of the Company and as a member of the Audit Committee with effect from 24 November 2014. 
Gary is Group Chief Executive Officer of Smurfit Kappa Group plc, since 2002. He joined the group in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, he was CEO of Aer Lingus and CEO of Gilbeys of Ireland.
Gary is Chairman of Aon Ireland and is a non-executive director of Green REIT plc. He holds BA (UCD) and MSc Management (Trinity) Degrees and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). 
Commenting, Nigel Northridge, Chairman of Paddy Power plc said:
