HK's Foxconn Internconnect Tech falls, says Vietnam production halted amid COVID-19

** Shares of communication products maker Foxconn
Interconnect Technology Ltd  6088.HK , which operates in Hong
Kong as FIT Hon Teng Ltd, fall 7.2% to HK$2.06 — their lowest
since May 13
    ** Stock is on track for the worst day since Jan. 22 
    ** Co says its production facilities at Van Trung Industrial
Park in Bac Giang Province in Vietnam have been temporarily shut
down since May 18 and production is halted due to epidemic

    ** Says the company will fully utilize its global
manufacturing resources to minimize the impact of relevant
measures and to fulfill customers' demands 
    ** Says it has cooperated with the Vietnam authorities and
is seeking to obtain government approval for clean zones to
resume production while awaiting authorities' announcement on
the reopening of parts or all its Vietnam production facilities
    ** The Hong Kong Hang Seng Commerce & Industry Index  .HSNC 
falls 1.2%, and the Hong Kong Hang Seng sub-index tracking
information technology firms  .HSCIIT  drops 1.9%, 
    ** The benchmark Hang Seng index  .HSI  slips 0.6%
    ** As of last close, the stock had fallen 17.5% this year
