Gold miners edge lower tracking bullion

** Shares of gold miners edge lower, tracking prices of the
precious metal 
    ** Spot gold  =XAU  down 1.4% after rising in the previous
session following optimism about rate cuts  GOL/ 
    ** Top gold miners Newmont  NEM.N  and Barrick Gold  ABX.TO 
down 0.9% and 2.5%, respectively 
    ** Canadian miners Franco-Nevada  FNV.TO , Agnico Eagle
Mines  AEM.BA  and Kinross Gold  K.TO  down between 0.3% and
1.6%
