Transaction in Own Shares
Sports Direct announces that on 19 October 2016 it purchased 116,931 of its ordinary shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited (acting as the Company's broker) on the London Stock Exchange at a price of 279.1 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 46,580,033 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 594,022,336.
