Transaction in Own Shares
Sports Direct announces that on 7 April 2017 it purchased 8,871 of its ordinary shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited (acting as the Company's broker) on the London Stock Exchange at a price of 299.9 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 79,310,534 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 561,291,835.
In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (the Market Abuse Regulation), detailed information about the individual purchases made by Citigroup Global Markets Limited is set out below.
