Transaction in Own Shares
Sports Direct announces that on 22 September 2016 it purchased 87,928 of its ordinary shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited (acting as the Company's broker) on the London Stock Exchange at a price of 284.9 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 44,834,965 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 595,767,404.
