U.S. stocks were mixed on Monday, with the Nasdaq weighed down by a drop in
Apple and other technology stocks, while the S&P 500 got a lift especially from
consumer staples after a report showed consumer spending remained healthy. .N
At 11:30 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.37 percent at
25,433.88. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.16 percent at 2,771.66 and the Nasdaq
Composite .IXIC was down 0.14 percent at 7,486.604.
