** Aircraft lessor FTAI Aviation's FTAI.O shares fall 4% to $123.61 after brokerage Stifel cuts rating to "hold" from "buy"

** Stifel says a short seller's report has caused investors to focus on the sustainability of aerospace margins

** Last month, FTAI said it found short seller Muddy Waters' claims about misleading financial reporting as "without merit" after a review

** But Stifel raises PT to $123 from $100, a 4% downside to stock's last close

** 11 of 13 brokerages rate stock "buy" or higher and 2 "hold"; their median PT is $182.57 - LSEG

** In 2024, FTAI was up 210%
