Urgent: Japan's Fuji Oil shuts 143,000 bpd Sodegaura refinery for maintenance - spokesman

TOKYO, May 24 (Reuters) - 
    * Japanese refiner Fuji Oil Co Ltd  5017.T  has shut the
143,000
barrels-per-day crude distillation unit at its Sodegaura oil
refinery for scheduled maintenance, a company spokesman told

    * The company's only refinery was shut down on May 17 and is
expected to be restarted early next month, the spokesman said by
email late on Thursday
