Annual General Meeting statement

 

 

At the Annual General Meeting of FW Thorpe Plc to be held at 3.15pm today,
Chairman, Mike Allcock, publishes the following statement:

 

"Since the beginning of the new financial year, orders and revenue for the
Group are in line with expectations and overall, ahead of the same period last
year. Margin and price pressures continue, offset by reasonable selling price
increases where possible.

 

Manufacturing service levels have improved significantly in recent months and
our sales teams have a generally positive outlook. We foresee a solid
half-year result, supported by our recent acquisitions.

 

In light of current economic conditions, the longer-term outlook is more
difficult to predict but our diverse market, geographical coverage and low
carbon solutions mean we are well placed to continue a trajectory of steady
sustainable growth."
