Announces Change of Company Name

 

The Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce
that the Company has changed its name from Gabelli Merger Plus+ Trust Plc to
Gabelli Merchant Partners Plc. Companies House issued the Company with a
change of name certificate on 2 April 2025 and the change of name to Gabelli
Merchant Partners Plc became effective upon such receipt.

 

"The updated name reflects the evolution of the arbitrage landscape in the
context of the Company's investment approach, utilizing the Gabelli Private
Market Value with a Catalyst methodology to pursue event arbitrage
opportunities to grow value for shareholders. This landscape includes minority
investments but is not limited to controlling stakes in operating businesses,
an area expected to evolve as the global marketplace adjusts to structural
changes in the United States trade policies." said Marc Gabelli, Co-Chairman.

 

The Company confirms that the London Stock Exchange has been notified of the
change and trading in the Company's shares under the new company name will
take effect on the SFS market of the London Stock Exchange from 8.00 a.m. on 7
April 2025. The Company's ticker, ISIN and SEDOL numbers will remain
unchanged. Gabelli Merchant Partners Plc shares will continue to be traded on
SFS.
