Adds: Coterra Energy-Devon Energy, SpaceX and Apple

Jan 29 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 20:45 GMT on Thursday:

** Coterra Energy CTRA.N and Devon Energy DVN.N could announce an agreement to merge as soon as next week, in what would be the largest oil and gas deal in the U.S. shale industry in almost two years, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday.

** Elon Musk's SpaceX and xAI are in discussions to merge ahead of a blockbuster public offering planned for later this year. The combination would bring Musk’s rockets, Starlink satellites, the X social media platform and Grok AI chatbot under one roof, according to a person briefed on the matter and two recent company filings seen by Reuters.

** Apple AAPL.O said it has acquired Q.ai, an Israeli startup working on artificial intelligence technology for audio.

** U.S. private equity firm Carlyle Group CG.O has agreed to an initial deal to buy most of Lukoil's LKOH.MM foreign assets, which Russia's second-largest oil company is being forced to sell because of U.S. sanctions. nL1N3YU0AY

** VSE Corp VSEC.O, which provides aviation aftermarket parts and repair services, said that it would buy Precision Aviation Group (PAG), a portfolio company of GenNx360 Capital Partners, for $2.03 billion in cash and equity. nL4N3YU1ME

** Alibaba's 9988.HK logistics arm plans to merge its autonomous-driving unit with Chinese robovan company Zelos Technology, forming a new entity valued at approximately $2 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. nL4N3YU0U4

** Three companies are competing for GAIL India's GAIL.NS tender to acquire up to a 26% stake in a liquefied natural gas project in the United States, its Chairman Sandeep Kumar Gupta said. nL4N3YU0LS

** Activist investor Elliott Investment Management is considering a tender offer for Toyota Industries 6201.T, the Nikkei business daily reported on Wednesday, in what could further complicate an effort by the Toyota group to take the forklift maker private. nL6N3YT0JW

** Audax Private Equity is exploring a sale of cybersecurity provider BlueCat Networks, which could fetch more than $1.5 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. nL4N3YU04S

** Investment firm Steel Partners said on Wednesday it had offered $18 per share to acquire a 51% stake in InMode INMD.O, sending the Israel-based medical technology firm's U.S.-listed shares up nearly 8% in after-hours trading. nL4N3YT2PU
