Change in Directorship:Appointment of Director (HR) on the board of GAIL
(India) Limited

 

This is with reference to CA-31024/2/2019-PNG (31534) dated 22.08.2022 in
respect of appointment of Shri Ayush Gupta as Director (HR) of the Company.
The Board in its meeting held on 2.08.2022 approved the appointment of Shri
Ayush Gupta (DIN 09681775) as an Additional Director of the Company w.e.f.
22.08.2022 to hold the post of Director (HR).

 

The information pertaining to Shri Ayush Gupta is as under:

 

1.        Brief profile

 

Mr. Ayush Gupta is a 1992 batch Electrical Engineer from IIT Roorkee and MBA
in Operations Management. He has over 30 years of varied and rich experience
in the field of Training and Human Resource Development, Talent Acquisition,
Leadership Development, Performance Management, HRD Initiatives, Project
Management, Operations and Maintenance.

 

He started his career with Insilco Ltd. as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)
prior to joining GAIL (India) Limited. Shri Gupta joined GAIL in the year 1998
as Dy. Manager (Electrical) at Agra and Firozabad City Gas Distribution
Project where he was actively involved in implementation of several
initiatives for bringing down the stock loss in Agra-Firozabad region. A
series of new programmes and L&D interventions including the successful
Mentoring Program, Individual Development Programme (IDP) for Senior
Executives and remodeling of ET Orientation Programme were launched during his
tenure at GAIL Training Institute, Naida. He has successfully led the
improvements in various HRD systems, processes and practices including the
digital initiatives for better engagement and enhancement of employee
experience.

 

He has been instrumental in formulating talent acquisition strategies to build
a strong human resource pipeline for the organization.

 

He is recipient of the prestigious Chevening Rolls Royce Science, Innovation,
Policy and Leadership fellowship from UK Government in 2013, Winner of the
National Corrosion Awareness Award in 2004 and Emerging HRD Thinkers Award in
2011. He is also the co-editor of the book titled 'Natural Gas Markets in
India' published by Springer International and has to his credit several best
paper awards for papers published and presented at national and international
forums.

 

2.         Disclosure of relationships between Directors

 

Shri Ayush Gupta does not have any relation inter-se with other Director(s) of
the Company.

 

3.         Further with respect to SEBI Instructions dated 14.06.2018,
it is to affirm that Shri Ayush Gupta is not debarred from holding the office
of Director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority.
