Galera Therapeutics rises on FDA's priority review for oral mucositis drug

** Shares of Galera Therapeutics Inc  GRTX.O  rise 10.7% to
$2.18 premarket 
    ** Drug developer says the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) has accepted the marketing application for its lead drug
candidate, avasopasem, in the treatment of radiotherapy-induced
severe oral mucositis in patients with advanced head and neck
cancer 
    ** Severe oral mucositis causes inflammation of mucus
membranes in the mouth and throat and prevents patient from
eating solid food or drinking liquids
    ** FDA will finalize its decision on drug by Aug. 9 - GRTX
    ** Co says FDA plans not to hold an advisory committee
meeting on the application -GRTX 
    ** Up to last close, stock fell ~11.3% in the past 12 months
